Terms & Conditions

Payment for all booked sessions must be paid for in full via bank transfer at least 48 hours prior to the appointment, unless agreed otherwise. No booking is confirmed without payment. Prices are available on request but are in the region of £70 per hour for one-to-one consultations with initial consultations starting at £150 for puppies and £250 for behavioural cases. These fees do not include travel costs.
Block bookings (of 3 or 5 sessions) are sold as a block. They are non-refundable on a pro-rata basis if you decide to not use all of the sessions. They remain valid for 3 months for a 3-session block and 6 months for a 5-session block. Any unused sessions expire at the end of the period of validity and cannot be refunded or transferred.
Bookings can be changed with no penalty if at least 48 hours’ notice is given. Bookings which are rearranged or cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment are not refundable. This includes non-shows.
Sessions will run at the scheduled times even if the client arrives late. Clients for classes in particular are requested to arrive 5 minutes prior to the class to give the dog time to settle and support a positive experience for all attendees.
Should I need to cancel an appointment, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Not all dogs are suitable for group classes due to reactivity, anxiety or some other welfare concern. If a dog is identified as unsuitable for a class, this will be discussed with the owner and an alternative approach will be negotiated, where possible. However, for the welfare of the dog and other participants, the owner may be asked to increase their distance from other dogs or even remove the dog.
I reserve the right to stop a session early where there is a welfare concern for the dog, such as over-arousal or being fatigued. Where appropriate, any remaining time will be used to review material with the owner while the dog rests.
Most private consultations will take place in your home. You are requested to put the dog away initially and keep them secure in another room to ensure safe introductions. It is the clients’ responsibility to ensure the safety of the dog, behaviourist and anyone else present during consultations and training sessions. There are options for alternative venues for appointments so please discuss this prior to the session if you have any concerns.
The owner is responsible to truthfully declare any bite history the dog has, including what happened and the severity of each bite. All questions regarding the dog’s history must be answered truthfully for health and safety reasons for all parties.
When meeting in a public location, it is the owner’s responsibility to clear up any of their dog’s mess.
All dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the sessions unless told otherwise by the trainer.
